Rosalie is one of our most beautiful chestnut horses; with a beautiful mane with a champagne, tannish brown color. She has a reddish, brownish body color with a glowing white between her eyes. Chestnut Stallions Often times when you think of chestnut stallions, you think of western movies, as they were often times used in the old western films. A red horse (chestnut) simply describes the horses hair color. It is actually a very common color found among all breeds. Sorrel is similar and often times confused when describing chestnut horses; both are used to describe a red horse/chestnut in color.
